CDC — Bring Your Brave
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States and more than 1 in 10 new cases are diagnosed in women under the age of 45. The Bring Your Brave (BYB) Campaign was developed using an “influence the influencers” approach that would harness the power of young women with a strong connection to breast cancer to share their stories in social media, creating a trickle-down effect to those less aware of their risk.
Over the course of 12 months, Eastward Films worked closely with the CDC to direct and produce video portraits of six of these influencers, creating a total of 20 deliverables.
The Bring Your Brave campaign has accumulated 1,291,043 video views, 826,203 social media engagements, and 132,972 visits to CDC’s Bring Your Brave website, helping achieve campaign objectives to educate and empower young women to take action to reduce their breast cancer risk.
