Preakness — VHS
The Preakness has evolved. What was once a mid-Atlantic bacchanalian, culminating in a scramble across the rooftops of a row of porta-johns, has become an event that takes itself a little more seriously, that caters to a more refined crowd while still honoring its history of revelry.
This piece was an effort to reflect that, and to appeal to both halves of the Preakness demographic: middle-aged sorts who are there for the sport and some socializing, and the millennials there for the music and merry-making. We developed a VHS ‘look’ in-house, and set about trying to create something that almost might fool someone into thinking it was produced thirty years ago.
When Do We Start?
Someone has to make the first move! We think we’d be a great fit for whatever you’re thinking up, and would love to talk more about how we can get that dream to a screen in a way that’s profoundly, uniquely true to you and your story.
