OUR ORIGIN
In 2011, Eastward (formally known as Eastward Films) was created as an independent studio crafting premium content for agencies and brands. Launched in defiance to what we viewed as an inefficient, uninspired, creative status quo we gathered a variety of disciplines under one roof: Creative, Planning, and Production. Since starting in DC, we’ve grown bi-coastal, and international, with a presence spanning four time zones.

We work with agencies, as well as directly with brands, government agencies, and non-profits. But what we make isn't as nearly as important as who makes it. Our greatest strength is our people; we're a team of artists and designers, computer geeks, and film nerds, all with one goal: making work as good as the people we’re making it for.

Production will always be the heart and soul of what we do at Eastward. For over 12 years, we’ve provided high end production services for hundreds of broadcast and digital platforms. Our team of creative directors, producers, and crew are always chomping at the bit for the next great thing.
Services included: line producing, location scouting, permits, talent casting, production coordination, production design, crewing, payroll, insurance, and vendor securement.
MOTION GRAPHICS & VFX
We love animation. It's a powerful storytelling tool with infinite possibilities. Need a 2 minute video showing the 100 year history of your company? Perfect. Or maybe you want to take the audience on an 80’s inspired 3D adventure? Even better. Our team of seasoned creative directors, animators, VFX artists and motion designers can dream up just about anything and bring it to life.

POST-PRODUCTION
We love to see a project from script to screen, but we understand that isn’t always the right move. If production is being handled elsewhere and you’re looking for a post house to put it all together and provide guidence to your production team, we’re happy to be your partner through this journey.
Different timezone, no problem. We’ve built a robust cloud based data management system that allows us to offer global remote real-time editing sessions to all our clients regardless of location.
Services Included: Online/Offline Editing, Remote Client Editing Streams, Sound Design and Mix, Finishing, Color grading, High-speed remote server transfers.
